Actualize Coding Bootcamp: Week One
An intro to reading, writing, and debugging code
The Actualize Coding Bootcamp is an immersive program designed to help you transition into a career in tech. The program consists of a 5 week prework phase (daily videos and exercises to learn the fundamentals of code), followed by a 12 week live training phase (taught by a professional instructor to give you the skills to get a job as a professional web developer).
The Actualize Coding Bootcamp: Week One course enables you to try the first week of the 5 week prework phase so you can see if you're ready to commit to the full Actualize Coding Bootcamp program. In this first week, you'll learn the fundamentals of reading, writing, and debugging code. No previous coding experience is necessary! If you've tried an intro to coding tutorial before, you'll quickly see how our approach is different. This course covers how to install and use the same tools as professional software developers, such as the terminal, text editor, and version control. In addition to learning how to write code, you’ll learn how to read code and interpret error messages. These are the skills necessary to move to a deeper understanding of what your code means versus rote memorization.
If you've ever wondered about what it takes to make a transition to a career in tech, then the Actualize Coding Bootcamp: Week One course is for you. Making this transition takes a lot of hard work and dedication, but it's deeply rewarding on every level - for many people it's a life-changing experience. This course can help you get started on that path today!
